We will only use the personal data you provide to administer your membership of the Association, including use by sub-committees, and to send you information about the Associations forthcoming events. Organisers of outings or holidays may use appropriate data to assist them with organisation and bookings. For example Hotels and Coach companies may require some information in order to book their services.

To ensure the correct attribution is given when publishing our Newsletter. The Newsletter is sent to our Members through the post and is also made available on our website.
Our lawful basis for collecting or using personal information for use in our Membership records, quarterly newsletter, email notifications, on booking forms and on our website are:
• Consent - we have permission from you after we gave you all the relevant information. All of your data protection rights may apply, except the right to object. To be clear, you do have the right to withdraw your consent at any time.

• For YANT Members, Committee Members and Walks Leaders - Personal information will be deleted one year after membership has ceased i.e. membership ends in March 2025, information deleted in March 2026.
• For Newsletter Contributors – Newsletters will remain on our website for a minimum of 5 years.

• Publicly on our website, Booking Forms or other marketing and information media.
• Brightwater Holidays, who arrange our holidays in conjunction with our Tours Organiser.
• Hotels and Coach companies where necessary in order to book their services.
• Inc Dot, who print the labels for our Newsletter and information sent by post.
• MailChimp, who send our emails.
